Jury convicts local man of resisting arrest
A Washington County jury on Tuesday convicted William J. Tyler, 52, of Maple Terrace, on a resisting arrest charge filed last year by city police, who were called to his home in May because of a confrontation.
Charges of simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child were dismissed at a preliminary hearing.
Judge Valarie Costanzo scheduled Tyler’s sentencing for Jan. 14.
