Monessen man charged with texting nude photos of ex-girlfriend
MONESSEN – A Monessen man is facing charges he shared nude photos of his former girlfriend had sent him and then assaulted her when the two argued in his vehicle earlier this month.
Monessen police Friday filed charges of distributing obscene or sexual material, simple assault and harassment in the case against Jonathan R. Minniti, court records show.
Police said Minniti’s ex-girlfriend agreed to meet him about 8:15 p.m. Oct. 9 outside a residence in the 20 block of Moffat Street to discuss their relationship and other issues they were having.
She told police she had Minniti’s phone and was looking through some of his photographs because she had sent him nude images of herself when they were dating, the affidavit indicates.
She said she asked Minniti, 33, to delete the photos after they broke up, and he said they were deleted. She said she did not give him permission to send them to anyone else, but he texted them to another man. Police said the man confirmed he had received the photos.
The woman told police she and Minniti began to argue, at which time Minniti grabbed her right arm and bent it back and scratched her face while attempting to get his phone.
She said Minniti kept touching the lock button when she tried to get out of his vehicle, then started to drag her with the vehicle when she was able to open her door as he was driving away from the area.
The charges were sent to Minniti, of 352 Balazia Ave., from a district court in Monessen.
