Hopewell man faces more charges
A Hopewell Township man arrested on assault charges earlier this month by state police is facing more charges for allegedly running the same woman off a Hopewell road early Wednesday.
Jonathan Alan Gzikowski, 38, of 118 Possum Hollow Road, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of stalking, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
The 36-year-old alleged victim told police she saw Gzikowski Tuesday afternoon in his vehicle near her home. She went to a nearby bar, where she had several drinks. After she left in her van, Gzikowski allegedly followed her through Avella.
She stopped at her cousin’s house, and when she left, he allegedly followed her again before running her van off Seminary Road. The woman said he left, and she walked to a location on Avella Road and called police.
Gzikowski was free on $5,000 bond after his Oct. 2 arrest for allegedly hitting and choking the same woman at a home in Independence Township. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by Ward on the new charges. He is scheduled for a Nov. 5 preliminary hearing before Ward on both sets of charges.
