BENTLEYVILLE
Man jailed: Johnathan Shoben, 34, of 140 Voyager Estates, Rostraver Township, is charged by Bentleyville police with burglary, making terroristic threats and harassment, court records show. Shoben is accused of breaking into a residence in the 700 block of Old West Road to retrieve his belongings and also threatening to burn down the apartment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $1,500 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
MONONGAHELA
Burglary allegation: Nicholas Lance, 18, of 505 Madeira St., New Eagle, is charged by city police with burglary, trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Lance is accused of breaking into a storage building at the Noble J. Dick Aquatorium, 200 Railroad St., about 7 p.m. Monday and stealing nine bottles of liquor valued at $135. He is free on $25,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
NORTH STRABANE
One injured: One person was injured Tuesday afternoon when vehicles driven by Matthew Stephen Holko, 40, of Oakdale, and James Medved, 60, of Marianna collided on Route 19 (Washington Road) southbound at Lindley Road, North Strabane police said. The identity of an injured passenger in Holko’s vehicle was not immediately available.
ROSTRAVER
Man charged: Richard Michael Burella Jr., 37, who is homeless, is charged by township police with trespassing about 9:45 p.m. Sept. 5 at Reed’s Garage, 2113 Route 906, court records show. A warrant was signed Tuesday for his arrest.
Theft alleged: Justin Charles Dzimiera, 35, of 114 Locust St., Carroll Township, is charged by Rostraver police with theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse Dzimiera of stealing a generator worth $649 from Lowe’s Home Improvement store, 200 Sara Way, about 2:45 p.m. Oct. 3 and later selling it to a pawn shop. A senior district judge in Monessen issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.
SOMERSET
Man wanted: Salvatore Conte, 51, of 410 Perry Como St., Canonsburg, is charged by state police with theft and deceptive business practices, court records show. Police accuse Conte of accepting $1,800 Aug. 2 from a resident of the 400 block of Rainey Road for contracting work that allegedly was not completed. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant last week for Conte’s arrest.
SOUTH STRABANE
Equipment stolen: John Linkowski and Jeff Beers, both of Lancaster, N.Y., told South Strabane police Wednesday a five-gallon gasoline can, circular saw, reciprocating saw, impact gun, rotary hammer, hammer drill and a backpack blower were stolen from the back of an equipment trailer while it was parked at Home Depot, 255 Murtland Ave. The items were valued at $2,800.
WASHINGTON
Robbery reported: A Claysville couple told Washington police they were robbed at gunpoint about 7:25 p.m. Wednesday at a drive-through automated teller machine at Community Bank, 65 W. Chestnut St. They told police they were in the process of removing $60 when a white man armed with a gun approached and grabbed the cash. He demanded they get out more money, but they told him the card would not work. The robber fled on foot east on West Chestnut and ran between buildings. One of the victims tried to chase him, but lost sight of him. The robber held the gun in his right hand. He was white, about 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall and wore a gray sweatshirt with the hood up.
PFA violation alleged: Bryan Joseph Hagan, 45, of 44 Highland Ave., Washington, was arrested Tuesday night by Washington County sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly violated a protection-from-abuse order. Deputies served him with the order at 105 Elm St., Washington, and escorted him from the residence. While talking with the alleged victim, Hagan again entered the house and was taken into custody, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail.
Assault reported: Two women and a man were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment after they reportedly assaulted each other at Burger King, 775 Jefferson Ave., Wednesday. Charges are pending against a 55-year-old McDonald man.
