W&J lecture to focus on sustainable infrastructure
Washington & Jefferson College will host a lecture on energy infrastructure on its campus Tuesday.
The fall installment of the school’s annual lecture series will be held at 7 p.m. in Yost Auditorium, which is in the Howard J. Burnett Center. The event, held by the college’s Center for Energy Policy and Management, is titled “A Smart & Sustainable Future for Rural American Infrastructure” and will feature associates of the multinational engineering, construction and design firm AECOM.
The speakers — Steven Duong, associate vice president of design, planning, and economics, and Tatum Lau, a senior urban designer — will talk about how small and medium-sized communities can plan, design and fund infrastructure projects that are more environmentally sustainable.
The event is free and open to the public.
