BENTLEYVILLE

Drug charges: Nathaniel Catlin Brice, 28, who has no known address, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and criminal use of a communication facility filed by a detective with the Washington County Drug Task Force. He is accused of selling the drug to a confidential informant at a Bentleyville bar in August 2017. He was released from Washington County Jail after posting $20,000 bond.

CANONSBURG

Charged in assault: Daniel W. Buretz, 58, of 30 1/2 W. Pike St., Canonsburg, was arrested Saturday by Canonsburg police on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly hit a man with a hammer and stabbed him in the wrist during a confrontation at his apartment. He also is accused of swinging the knife at a woman and allegedly threatened to kill both of them. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Assault charges: James S. Dugan of 518 Tannehill St., Canonsburg, was arrested Saturday by Canonsburg police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck his girlfriend and kicked her son in the face during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County Jail after posting $5,000 bond.

Woman charged: Loridann Memble Mooney, 40, of 606 Giffin Ave., Canonsburg, was arrested Saturday afternoon by Canonsburg police on charges of simple assault and harassment.  She is accused of striking two women during a confrontation at her home. Mooney was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Medication stolen: Lauren Mockridge of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Friday that two prescriptions for her were picked up without her permission Wednesday and Friday from Rite Aid, 23 E. Pike St. On both occasions, the medication was picked up by a man in his mid to late 20s.

CECIL

Obstruction charge: John Jonathan Lee, 41, of 150 W. Pike St, Canonsburg, was arrested Friday by Cecil police on a charge of obstruction of administration of law. He is accused of claiming he did not know how to speak English and could not understand an officer. Police determined he was wanted on a warrant in Westmoreland County. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

CHARTIERS

Man assaulted: Harry Ringer, 37, of 693 Ridge Ave., was assaulted outside his home Saturday by another man, Chartiers police said. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

DEEMSTON

Assault arrest: Daniel Bruce Speelman, 52, of Masontown, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and traffic violations after troopers were called to 17 Howes Lane, Deemston, for a report of shots fired and a fight. Speelman reportedly got out of his pickup truck and started yelling at a man. He also allegedly fired a shot into the ground with his pistol. Speelman, who police said was intoxicated, reportedly passed out and fell to the ground. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

DONORA

Charged in assault: Anthony Antonio Powell, 30, of 972 Thompson Ave., Donora, was arrested Sunday by Donora police after he allegedly bit his boyfriend during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released from Washington County Jail after posting a $5,000 percentage bond.

McDONALD

Accused of strangulation: Joshua Michael Miller, 25, of 101 S. McDonald St., McDonald, was arrested Sunday by McDonald police on charges of strangulation, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and public durnkenness after he allegedly choked his girlfriend and broke a mirror on her vehicle during a confrontation at their home. He also damaged items in their apartment, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.

NORTH STRABANE

Threats arrest: Carl Louis Lombardo, 49, of Pittsburg, Calif., was arrested Sunday by North Strabane police on charges of terroristic threats and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened a clerk at the front desk of Candlewood Suites, 255 Meadowlands Boulevard. Lombardo was reportedly complaining about barking dogs in the room above his room. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County Jail after posting $500 bond.

Woman arrested: Madeline Carmen Lopez, 44, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, was arrested early Sunday by North Strabane police on charges of simple assault and harassment. She is accused of throwing a cellphone at her boyfriend, hitting him in the eye, during a confrontation in a room at the DoubleTree, 240 Racetrack Road. The boyfriend was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $500 bond.

PETERS

Two charged: Cadence West Morgan, 21, of Canton, Ohio, and Micah Brett Johnson, 22, of Minden, La., were arrested early Sunday by Peters police after a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Washington Road. Both were charged with carrying a firearm without a license after police say two handguns were found in the vehicle. Johnson also was charged with an equipment violation. They were each arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County Jail after posting $5,000 bonds.

SOUTH STRABANE

Trespass, theft charges: Stacy Ann Mull, 34, of 78 Main St., Hickory, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft and criminal trespass after she allegedly stole items valued at $229 from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, on Aug. 24. She had been banned from the store. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Shrubs damaged: Marjorie Evans of Quarry Road told South Strabane police that three ornamental shrubs in her yard were damaged in an apparent hit-and-run accident Friday.

Con reported: Leland Sample of South Strabane told township police Friday that a caller tried to get him to purchase a $500 gift card or risk the caller stealing information from Sample’s computer.

SPEERS

Driver arrested: Aliman Taylor-Kamara, 45, of Lancaster, was arrested by state police early Tuesday on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, carrying a firearm without a license and traffic violations after he was stopped on Interstate 70 eastbound near Speers. Police said he was found with five pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond.

WASHINGTON

Mischief, assault arrest: Theodore Babich, 31, who Washington police said is homeless, was arrested Monday by city police on charges of criminal mischief and aggravated assault after he allegedly discharged a fire extinguisher inside a building at 430 W. Chestnut St. He also is accused of spitting on a city police officer. Babich was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Drug arrest: Melissa Rae Gilliam, 30, of 382 Houston St., Washington, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from a Sept. 16 traffic stop on East Prospect Avenue by Washington police. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

Charged in stop: Jerome Alton Warrant, 28, of 88 E. Maiden St., Washington, was charged last week by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after an Aug. 7 traffic stop in the 200 block of West Chestnut Street. He was placed in Washington County Jail on an Allegheny County warrant. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Inmate drug charges: Anthony Shadeck, 30, of 88 Country Club Road, Washington, and Kyle Hilderband, 24, of 229 Old Scales Road, Washington, were charged by Washington police with possession of a controlled substance by an inmate after both allegedly were found with drugs while inmates at the Washington County Jail in January.

Vehicles entered: Washington police said at least four vehicles parked at Westgate Apartments, 1350 Donnan Ave., were entered early Tuesday. Police discovered doors open on several vehicles while on patrol.

Card accessed: Jessica Hull of Washington told Washington police Monday that her credit card information was used in an attempt to purchase a MacBook. She learned of the purchase after receiving information that it was going to be shipped.
