CUMBERLAND
Drug charges: Jason Allen McCormick, 33, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident Monday in which Greene County Regional police said they received an anonymous tip from a woman that McCormick, wanted on an arrest warrant, was in Greensboro. Cumberland Township police, state police and Greene County Regional Police were able to take McCormick into custody at Sheetz in Cumberland Township and found suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, syringes, naloxone, baggies, a metal spoon, cotton swabs and an empty stamp back on him.
FRANKLIN
Crash on interstate: Two people were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., after a crash Sunday. State police said Raymond T. Toland, 24, of Waynesburg, and Jamel K. Hamm, 41, of Cleveland, were driving north in separate vehicles in the left lane of Interstate 79 near mile marker 12 when Toland rear-ended Hamm’s car. Hamm and his 12-year-old male passenger, were both taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries. Neither Toland nor his passenger, 29-year-old Grace A. Toland, from Waynesburg, were injured.
