Garage damaged by fire
A garage was moderately damaged by a fire at 109 Hopewell Ridge Road, Sycamore, Greene County, Friday afternoon.
Center Township Fire Department responded to the 4:15 p.m. blaze. They were assisted by firefighters from Graysville, Richhill, Morris, Waynesburg and West Finley fire departments.
The fire was contained to the garage, and the house was not damaged, according to a Center Township firefighter. The homeowner used a garden hose to attempt to put out the fire until firefighters arrived.
