BURGETTSTOWN

Vandalism, theft charges: Samantha Downey, 25, of Imperial, was charged last week by McDonald police with possession of methamphetamine, institutional vandalism and retail theft. She is accused of stealing items from Family Dollar, 1402 Main St., Burgettstown, on June 14. Police found her with the suspected drug. She also allegedly urinated in the back seat of the police cruiser. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

CANONSBURG

Medication stolen: Anthony Ross, 121 N. Central Ave., told Canonsburg police Monday that his medication that had been delivered by a postal carrier was stolen from his mailbox.

HANOVER

Officers, man assaulted: Nathaniel Joseph Baxter, 27, of Mars, was charged last week by Hanover police with four counts of aggravated assault and one count each of simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He is accused of punching a 42-year-old man during an Aug. 24 confrontation at KeyBank Pavilion. He reportedly spat at four Hanover police officers, including one who had to be treated. Once inside the cruiser, Baxter reportedly banged his head off the cage, cutting his head. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Hit-and-run crash: Malorie Christine Crow, 31, of Fairmont, W.Va., was charged last week by Hanover police with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a crash after she crashed into another vehicle in the parking lot of KeyBank Pavilion and fled from the area. She was stopped on Route 18. Police said her blood alcohol level was almost double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka. 

Charged in assault: Sarah Nicole Coulson, 29, of 240 S. Market St., Carmichaels, was charged last week by Hanover police with simple assault and leaving the scene of a crash in the parking lot of KeyBank Pavilion. A Greensburg woman told police that she accidentally hit the vehicle driven by Coulson. Coulson allegedly punched the other driver in the face and drove away without exchanging insurance information with the other driver. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Driver charged: Norman Black, 53, of 564 Bartleyville Road, Burgettstown, was charged this week by Hanover police with illegally operating a vehicle without interlock and driving an unregistered vehicle after a traffic stop Sept. 2 in the 300 block of Hanlin Station Road. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Drug charges: Joseph Michael Shuta, II, 45, of Hollidaysburg, Blair County, and Dana Nicole Shuta, 39, of Duncansville, Blair County, were charged this week by Hanover police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after they reportedly had Suboxone, Xanax, oxycodone and alprazolem in the parking lot of KeyBank Pavilion on Friday. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Resisting, drug charges: David A. Ledonne, 47, of Pittsburgh, was charged this week by Hanover police with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct. He allegedly had suspected marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms while on the lawn at KeyBank Pavilion Friday. He also reportedly struggled with an officer as he tried to take him into custody. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Charged with trespass: Richard A. Williams, 49, of Pittsburgh, was charged this week by Hanover police with defiant trespass and solicitation without a permit. He was reportedly selling T-shirts in the parking lot at KeyBank Pavilion Friday without a permit. He reportedly was banned from the venue last year for selling T-shirts. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

NORTH STRABANE

False identification alleged: Brittany D. Holmes, 21, of 550 McClane Farm Road, Chartiers Township, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of false identification to police and equipment violations filed by North Strabane police after a July 24 traffic stop at the intersection of Routes 519 and 19. She did not have her license and gave police another name. She was released on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Driver faces charges: Lenora Renee Marchioda, 21, of 228 Parker St., Houston, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she crashed a vehicle into a large boulder on property at 365 Meadowlands Boulevard Monday night. Police found her vehicle a short distance away.

WASHINGTON

Items stolen from purse: Jessica McKinney of Lawrence Avenue, Washington, told Washington police Monday that a $243 Lowe’s gift card, a debit card and a credit card were stolen from her purse while she was at May’rz Inn, 165 S. Main St., early Sunday. Police will check surveillance video.

Disorderly charge: Christopher Brooks of 315 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after city firefighters responded to a fire alarm at his apartment Monday. Police said there was heavy smoke coming from marijuana. 

Tools stolen: Chad Hatfield, 375 Locust Ave., told Washington police Monday that a Craftsman power drill, sander, grinder and computer hardware were stolen from his apartment.

Furniture stolen: The property manager for 780 Delaware Ave. told Washington police Monday that two couches, a chair, lamp, bed with frame and a garage door opener were stolen from the residence. There was also damage done to the kitchen floor, bathroom, a bedroom and carpeting.
