A Washington man arrested early Wednesday by Washington police after he was found with suspected heroin and a gun was arraigned Thursday on more drug charges filed against him by a detective with the Washington County Drug Task Force.

Gerald Herion Williams, 32, of 146 Jollick Manor, formerly of California Terrace, was arraigned before District Judge Jesse Pettit on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly sold the drug to a confidential informant last September.

Williams reportedly met the informant in the 100 block of East Wylie, where task force detectives observed the exchange. Williams met a second time with an informant and allegedly sold heroin.

Williams was taken into custody outside a home on Lang Avenue early Wednesday. Police found him with two bags of suspected heroin in pockets along with a .40-caliber pistol magazine containing 13 rounds and $264. A Glock .40-caliber pistol loaded with 20 rounds was found under the seat of a car where he had been a passenger.

Williams was placed in Washington County jail. District Judge Joshua Kanalis denied him bond, indicating Williams has seven outstanding bench warrants dating back to 2010. Pettit set bond on the new charges at $25,000. Williams faces a preliminary hearing on the charges later this month before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
