CANONSBURG

Medication stolen: Jessica Knollinger of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Monday that four bottles of prescription medication were stolen from her purse, which was in an unlocked locker at Rite Aid, 26 E. Pike St., where she works.

Liquor law violation: The operator of Bubba’s Gourmet Burgers and Beer, 114 Southpointe Boulevard, was cited last week by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with selling alcohol to a minor on Aug. 1. 

CHARTIERS

Firearm violation alleged: Brandon Maximilian May, 25, of Weirton, W.Va., was arrested Monday afternoon by Chartiers police on a charge of carrying a firearm without a license. Police were called to the area of Henderson Avenue and Regent Street for a report of a reckless driver. Police stopped the vehicle driven by May. The 25-year-old allegedly told police he had pistol in the center console of the truck and that he did not have a permit for it. May was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

FALLOWFIELD

Assault arrest: Thomas Dale Sparks, 28, of 229 Wilson Road, Fallowfield, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched a woman during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

NORTH STRABANE

Liquor law violation: The operator of Frankie I’s, 1180 Mapleview Drive, was cited last week by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with selling alcohol to a minor on Aug. 1. 

ROSTRAVER

Theft alleged: Shawn Robert Umbel, 42, of 103 Brightwell Drive, Fayette City, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse him of stealing $355 from Joanna Veneris-Asvestas after she dropped the money at CVS on Rostraver Road about 1:50 p.m. Sept. 19. The charges were issued Monday in a summons.

WASHINGTON

Burglary: Oscar Eugene White, 39, of 580 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with burglary after he allegedly broke into a Ridge Avenue apartment and stole a bottle of prescription pills Sept. 8. 

Drug charges: Bertram Ray Mitchell, 62, of 473 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, was charged by the Washington County drug task force with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, after the Washington County Regional Swat Team served a search warrant at his house Friday morning. Police said they found a bag of cocaine, marijuana, 22 suboxone strips, 6 suboxone pills, 23 oxycodone pills, 23 Xanas pills, crack pipes, more than $5,300 in cash and other drug paraphernalia items. 

Drug charges: Nicole Lynn Boyer, 33, of 430 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with possession of drug paraphernalia after they allegedly found two needles, two spoons, 30 empty stamp bags and a Narcan kit in her vehicle July 30 in the 600 block of Addison Street. 

Theft charge: Shawn Boone Boyer, 45, of 190 S. McDonald St., McDonald, was charged by Washington police with theft, after he allegedly stole items from a woman’s purse at Mayrz Bar, 100 block of South Main Street, just after midnight Sept. 10. 

Theft charge: Laura Vincenti, of 166 S. Wade Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with theft, after she allegedly stole a television from an apartment in the 100 block of South Franklin Street about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 8. 

Driver faces charges: Paula Parry, 40, of 316 Morganza Road, Canonsburg, will be charged by Washington police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and possession of paraphernalia after she allegedly was found passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle, which was stopped in the intersection of East Wheeling Street and Dunn Avenue Monday night. When police woke her, she allegedly admitted to using heroin and told police that she threw the stamp bag out of the vehicle. The bag was found on the ground behind the vehicle, police said, and a needle was hidden in her bra.

Brick thrown: Brandon Washington told Washington police early Tuesday that his vehicle was damaged when a brick was thrown at it while it was parked near his home in the 100 block of Elm Street. 

Vehicle damaged: Revis A. Lee of Washington told Washington police Monday that the hood of his vehicle was damaged when juveniles threw rocks at it as he drove in the 10 block of Jefferson Avenue.
