BUFFALO
Wife arrested: Stephanie Smith, 33, of 610 Pleasant Valley Road, Buffalo, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Donegal police after she allegedly assaulted her husband during a confrontation at their home. Smith was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of simple assault and harassment. She was released on $15,000 unsecured bond with orders to have no contact with the alleged victim.
CALIFORNIA
Marijuana charge: Joshua Nafale Ryan, 20, of California, will be charged by California police with possession of marijuana stemming from a traffic stop early Sunday in the 300 block of Wood Street.
CHARLEROI
Club cited: The officers of Charleroi Co-operative Association, 805 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, were cited Wednesday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for reportedly failing to maintain records for a two-year period regarding the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act.
CHARTIERS
Assault alleged: Brandi Lukich, 31, of 177 Circle Road, Scenery Hill, was arrested early Thursday by Chartiers police on charges of simple assault and harassment after she allegedly punched a Meadow Lands man several times during a confrontation at his Hallam Avenue home. She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on $25,000 unsecured bond with orders to have no contact with the alleged victim.
NORTH STRABANE
Motorcyclist injured: Michael Szewczyk, 18, of 320 Ross Road, Eighty Four, was injured about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with a deer about a block from his home. He told police he was riding west when the deer ran from the left side of the road and hit the motorcycle. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital and transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a possible broken leg.
SOUTH STRABANE
Account accessed: A resident of Thomas Campbell Apartments, 850 Beech St., told South Strabane police Wednesday she was contacted by her credit card company, indicating a $600 charge had been made to eBay using her card information.
Wire stolen: Heath Giddens of Coushatta, La., told South Strabane police Sept. 21 that 250 feet of lead welding wire was stolen from the bed of his pickup truck while it was parked outside his room at Motel 6, Motel 6 Drive.
Donation jar stolen: An employee of Old Mexico restaurant, 125 Murtland Ave., told South Strabane police Saturday a donation jar containing about $400 was stolen from the front counter by a heavyset white woman with light brown hair.
Bogus identity: A woman using the identity of an Ohio resident accessed a charge account with Jared to make a purchase of a $5,360 diamond ring Saturday at Jared Vault, Tanger Outlets, South Strabane police said.
WASHINGTON
Woman assaulted: A Washington woman told police Wednesday her former boyfriend forced his way into her home in the 200 block of McCarrell Avenue. She said he kicked in the front door. The 30-year-old Houston man then allegedly punched her, demanded money and stole her Android cellphone and Amazon Fire Stick. Police will obtain a warrant for his arrest.
Theft charge: Laura Vincenti, 43, of Wade Avenue, was charged Wednesday with theft and public drunkenness in connection with an incident early Sunday morning. City police said in court papers they arrested Vincenti in the 600 block of Fayette Street after she’d allegedly tried the handles of car doors and entered and rifled through a pickup truck. Charges were filed by summons at District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
Trespassing charge: City police charged Joshua Labella, 32, of East Hallam Avenue with trespassing and criminal mischief. Labella’s ex-girlfriend told police Saturday he went to her home in the city, pounded on the window and door and pushed past her when she answered, before questioning another person who was present. He allegedly then flipped a coffee table and took her iPhone 6 as she tried to call 911, before smashing the phone on the sidewalk. Charges were sent by summons Wednesday from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
