The state Department of Transportation is developing plans for the replacement of the bridge carrying Pleasant Valley Road over a branch of Buffalo Creek in Buffalo Township.

The project will include the replacement of the existing bridge with a new single span, composite prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge. Also included will be reconstruction of the roadway approaches to the new structure and new signing and pavement markings.

The project is anticipated to be let for construction in the spring of 2021 with construction occurring in summer 2021.

An open house is being held to review the proposed design plans on April 9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Township building, 400 Buffalo Center Lane.

Representatives of PennDOT and its design consultants will be available to explain the project and receive input.
