Accidental gunshot in Wind Ridge

State police responded to a residence on West Roy Furman Highway in Richhill Township, Greene County, for the report of a gunshot wound early Sunday morning.

Police said a 58-year-old Wind Ridge man accidentally shot himself in the foot while he was checking on noises he heard outside his residence about 5:40 a.m. Police said Southwest EMS took the man to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., with non life-threatening injuries.
