Motorcyclist leads police on chase in Greene County
A 21-year-old on a motorcycle is accused of leading state police on a chase through Greene County Tuesday.
Police said they first spotted Braden Lee Boosel, of 460 Dillie Road, Sycamore, speeding and popping wheelies eastbound on Route 21 near Taco Bell just before 9 p.m. Police said when they tried to initiate a traffic stop, Boosel fled at “an extreme high rate of speed.”
Police said Boosel’s license plate was fake, and read “Run This,” with an image of a middle finger. Underneath that was a website address, www.bikesvscops.com.
Police said several units assisted in the pursuit, which continued to Jefferson Township. Police said Boosel was weaving in and out of traffic at more than 115 mph. The chase came to an end at the intersection of Route 188 and Route 88, according to court documents. Police did not say how the chase ended.
Boosel was charged with fleeing a police officer and 18 summary traffic violations. He was arraigned by District Judge David Balint and posted a $20,000 bond.
