CANONSBURG
Assault alleged: Frank Caligiuiri, 49, of 412 Main St., Coraopolis, was charged with simple assault and harassment by borough police Wednesday. According to the criminal complaint, the assault occurred outside The Last Call Bar and Grill at 342 W. Pike St. about 2 a.m. June 29, 2018. Police said Caligiuiri admitted he punched and kicked Christopher Horner after Horner had been kicked out of the bar. Caligiuiri claimed he did so in self-defense after attempting to prevent Horner from re-entering the bar. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. June 18 before District Judge David Mark.
CANTON
Assault alleged: David Wayne Hull, 32, of 1089 N. Main St., Washington, was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and traffic violations by state police on Wednesday. According to the criminal complaint, at 5:45 p.m. June 18, 2018, at the intersection of Sheffield Street and Jessop Place, Hull struck a moped with his vehicle. Police said he did so because he believed it had been stolen from him. A preliminary hearing is yet to be scheduled.
HOUSTON
Burglary: State police are investigating a burglary that occurred at 16 North Ave. March 10 or March 11. According to police, an unknown person entered the residence and stole a $500 television and did $150 worth of damage to a glass door. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police Washington barracks.
ROSTRAVER
Thefts alleged: Casey Ann Levkus, 39, of 40 Decker St., Monongahela, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations she stole jewelry valued at $180 from a residence in the 600 block of Curt Drive April 19 and sold the items to a pawn shop, court records show. Senior District Judge Herbert G. Mitchell Jr. issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
Man charged: Jonathan Richard Minniti, 33, of 352 Balazia Ave., Monessen, is charged by Rostraver police with receiving stolen property and access device fraud, court records show. Police accuse Minniti of attempting to use a stolen banking card March 17 to make $400 in purchases at Walmart, 100 Sara Way. Senior District Judge Herbert G. Mitchell Jr. issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
