CHARLEROI – A Charleroi man was taken into custody Monday on allegations he held a woman against her will over two days and raped her last week in his residence.

District Judge Larry Hopkins sent the suspect, Ryan Walker, 44, to Washington County jail on $100,000 bond after he was arrested on a warrant signed earlier that day, court records show.

Charleroi Regional police accused Walker of placing a GPS tracking device on the woman’s car and following her Jan. 29 to a residence in Monessen where she was visiting a friend, the affidavit states.

While she was in Monessen, he phoned her 15 times, calls that she did not answer. She then texted him a message indicating she would return shortly to her Charleroi residence, police said.

Walker reportedly sent her a text message stating, “How does a minute turn into an hour? Time up. I’m coming to get you,” police stated in the court record.

The woman said she got Walker to follow her home and tried to stop him from getting inside her residence.

She accused him of grabbing her and dragging her to his house, where an attempt was made to tie her up with a rope, the court record alleges.

She further accused Walker, of 1008 Lower Meadow Ave., of taking off her clothes, throwing her on a bed and raping her while holding her down by the throat, police said. She also said she went to cry in a bathroom, where he allegedly grabbed her head and banged it off a wall.

Walker reportedly allowed the woman to leave the following morning to go to work, where he picked her up at lunchtime to return home to get her vehicle.

She said he pushed his way into her residence and took her purse, cellphone and car keys, police said.

Walker then allegedly returned, kicked in the door to her residence and again refused to allow her to leave.

It was not immediately known how the woman escaped.

She suffered injuries to her hands, neck, wrists and buttocks, police noted in the affidavit.

Walker also has been charged with unlawful restraint, strangulation, simple assault, burglary, theft, false imprisonment and criminal mischief.

He was scheduled to appear again before Hopkins for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Feb. 14.
