CHARTIERS

Tank stolen: An empty, 5-foot tall oxygen tank was reported stolen from a business on Henderson Avenue between Saturday and Monday, state police said.

NORTH STRABANE

One hurt: One woman was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital with serious injuries following a tw- vehicle crash in the 2300 block of Route 519 Monday. Police said Allen Glover, 35, of Georgia, was pulling out of a parking lot about 4:45 p.m. and crossed Route 519 to enter the Interstate 79 south ramp. He told police he did not see a vehicle driving southbound on Route 519, which struck the passenger side of his car. Glover’s passenger, Tameka Glover, 38, of Georgia, had to be extricated from the vehicle by township firefighters and was injured. Neither the driver of the other vehicle, Darcie Glendenning, 47, nor her passenger, Issac Glendenning, 23, both of Bentleyville, was injured.

Assault charge: Joseph Riley Walker, 36, of 151 Irishtown Road Extension, Venetia, was charged by township police with strangulation, terroristic threats and harassment after a domestic disturbance Monday morning at his residence. Police said Walker had argued with his girlfriend before she tried to leave. Before she could reach the door, he allegedly grabbed her by the neck and choked her, according to the criminal complaint. He then allegedly told her, “You’ll be dead before the police get here,” the complaint said. After about 10 seconds, the woman was able to break free of Walker’s grip, and he then fled the scene.

SMITH

Child endangerment charges: Jody Lynn Marchetta, 40, of 235 Horse Shoe Drive, Clinton, was charged by township police with driving under the influence, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, and four traffic violations after a traffic stop in the 200 block of Smith Township State Road at about 11:30 p.m. Friday. Police said they smelled alcohol on her breath and noticed her two children, ages 10 and 8, in the backseat. She told police that she had been drinking at a friend’s house. Her blood alcohol content was 0.228 percent, above the .08 limit at which intoxication is presumed. The children were turned over to their father, police said.

SOUTH FRANKLIN

Theft from vehicle: A woman told state police that her makeup bag and four prescription medications were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked along Mobile Road between 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

WASHINGTON

Drug charges: Michael Devon Lane, 27, of 405 W. Hallam Ave., was charged by state police with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an offensive weapon and disorderly conduct following an incident outside his residence Jan. 4. Police said they saw Lane watching a movie on his phone in his car about 10:45 p.m. Police said the car smelled of marijuana, and when they searched it, they found a grinder, a metal pipe and a set of brass knuckles.

Drug charges: Shawn Renee Weirich, 42, of 28 S. Main St., Washington, was charged by Washington County sheriff’s deputies with selling a controlled substance without a label, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident Feb. 7 at the Washington County Courthouse. Deputies said Weirich was in the jury lounge and smelled of marijuana. Officers said they found 37 Clonazepam pills in a sandwich bag in her purse and another 15 in a pill bottle. They also found eight Carisoprodol pills among her change and money in the purse.
