Columbia Gas plans pipeline project in Washington, Greene counties

Columbia Gas plans to begin pipeline replacement projects in Washington and North Franklin Township in Washington County and Morris Township in Greene County.

The company will replace more than 9,355 feet of underground pipe along Biltmore Drive, Broadview Place, Cario Drive, Dewey Avenue, Fairfield Drive, Hazelwood Drive, Iola Avenue, Jennings Lane, McGowan Avenue, Mineola Avenue, Nokomis Drive, Old York Road, Park Avenue, Royal Oak Drive, Spring Valley Drive, Trinity Drive, Willowbrook Lane, and Winona Avenue in Washington and North Franklin.

Work is expected to last through September, weather permitting, and will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the possibility of Saturday work. Temporary lane restrictions during working hours are possible. Any necessary closures on Park Avenue will be coordinated with Trinity School District and will not occur Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and between 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Starting in late February, the company will replace more than 5,265 feet of underground pipe along Prosperity Pike, McCormick Lane, and Sparta Road in Morris Township. Work is expected to last through summer, weather permitting, and will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the possibility of Saturday work. Temporary lane restrictions during working hours are possible.
