BENTLEYVILLE

Assault charge: Jordan William Ivill, 31, of 115 Church St., was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched a man’s dentures out Sept. 1 at his residence. Police said Ivill had been staying with the alleged victim, George Liberatore, at the Church Street residence. After drinking together that night, they started arguing over a dog, police said. Ivill allegedly punched Liberatore in the mouth, knocking out his dentures and breaking his jaw. Police said Ivill then fled.

MONESSEN

Woman jailed: Anna Marie Rattay, 48, of 203 Railroad St., Webster, Rostraver Township, is charged by city police with possessing four stamp bags of heroin stemming from a traffic stop about 6:10 p.m. Saturday at Indiana Avenue and Ontario Street, court records show. Rattay was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $2,500 bond set by District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.

Man jailed: Stephen Matinsky, 21, of 1160 Dennis Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and marijuana possession, court records show. Police accuse him of punching an officer who went to his residence about 6 a.m. Sunday to take a report that he had kicked and punched his girlfriend, Koree Shedlock. Matinsky was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $7,500 bond set by District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.

Man wanted: Harry Raymond Ringer Jr., 37, of 693 Ridge Ave., Chartiers Township, is charged by city police with making terroristic threats, simple assault, sending obscene sexual materials and harassment, court records show. Police accuse him of threatening to kill Adrian Custer and sending him nude photos of a woman in text messages received about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 200 block of Reed Avenue. A senior district judge in Monessen signed a warrant Thursday for Ringer’s arrest.

Forgery charges: A husband and wife from Monessen were charged last week by city police with forgery, theft and debit card fraud. The charges stem from allegations that Daniel and Karen Brewer, both 33, used details of debit cards belonging to three people to steal a total of $1,325 from their bank accounts between March and May. The Brewers were charged by summons from the district court in Monessen.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Assault charge: Skyler Christine Martin, 23, of 142 Woodside Drive, Washington, was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly scratched and bit her boyfriend’s arm during an argument Thursday night at a residence in the 600 block of Park Avenue.

SOUTH STRABANE

Retail theft charge: Levi Bruce Coulter, 37, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, was charged by township police with retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing an instrument of crime, after he allegedly used a box cutter to access Target merchandise and steal it Friday night. Police said Coulter also was in possession of a glass smoking device.

UNION

Strangulation charge: Stanley Adam Lucas, 59, of 2556 State Route 88, was charged by Monongahela police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment following a domestic disturbance at his residence early Friday morning. Lucas allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the throat, choked her until she blacked out, and threw her on the floor. Police said they notice fresh injuries on the woman’s neck. Lucas was arraigned Friday morning and released on $10,000 bond.

WASHINGTON

Harassment charge: Anthony Phillip Richardson, 37, of 50 Highland Ave., Washington, was charged by city police with terroristic threats and harassment after he allegedly left threatening voicemails on a Washington woman’s phone in August. In the messages, Richardson allegedly told the woman he would use a pistol to kill her. The woman told police she is afraid for her life, according to court documents.

Illegal burning: Two Washington women were cited by city police over the weekend for violating city ordinances on burning trash. The city fire department responded just past 9 p.m. Friday to 500 W. Chestnut St. for the report of a structure fire. The residents believed their residence was on fire, due to nearby smoke. When firefighters forced entry into the downstairs apartment, they found no signs of a fire, according to a police report. Police said a neighbor, Lisa Kirchel, 53, of 510 W. Chestnut St., was burning boxes and other materials in a burn barrel behind the residence. Just a few hours later, Carmena Brooks of 746 Broad St. was cited by police after they found a small fire behind her residence at 12:15 a.m. Saturday. Police said Brooks told them she thought she was allowed to burn trash. City firefighters were called to extinguish the fire.
