CANONSBURG
Assault alleged: Scott Douglas Dailey Jr., 29, of 412 Woodland Road, Canonsburg, is charged by borough police with simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Dailey of grabbing his sister, Amber, while she held an infant and later punching her several times in the head about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. He was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
DEEMSTON
Theft alleged: Lawrence Roy Filby, 41, of 17 Howes Lane, Deemston, is charged by state police with theft, receiving stolen property and trespassing, court records show. Police accuse him of stealing scrap metal worth $2,500 from Neiswonger Construction, 1994 Morey Road, between 9 and 10 p.m. Aug. 15. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Tuesday for Filby’s arrest.
INDEPENDENCE
Charges filed: State police charged Timothy F. Booker, 39, of Avella with simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct Tuesday. The charges stem from a Dec. 23 incident at a Campbell Street convenience store during which Booker allegedly twice punched a woman described in court papers as an acquaintance of his. The charges were filed by summons in the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
