Man charged: Thomas R. Wright, 50, of Amwell Township was charged Friday by state police with receiving stolen property, escape, flight, resisting arrest, fleeing and disorderly conduct. Wright allegedly tried to elude a trooper who spotted Wright on Henderson Avenue and tried to pull him over the night before. He went on to park on Dorothy Avenue and run off, police said. The Hyundai Elantra Wright allegedly was driving had been reported stolen in Washington. A warrant for Wright’s arrest was signed by District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

CANONSBURG

Assault charge: Borough police filed a simple assault charge and summary count of harassment against Geoffrey M. Brown, 35, of Washington. Brown allegedly hit a woman on the head with a phone charger Oct. 3 during an argument at a residence on Highland Avenue. Brown was charged by summons from District Judge David Mark’s office.
