A pizza deliveryman was robbed at knifepoint Friday night in the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue in Washington.

Washington police responded to the Subway parking lot at 11:55 p.m. after a Mm! Mm! Pizza deliveryman called 911.

The man said he was on the clock when he pulled into the parking lot to check on a possible flat tire. While looking over the vehicle, he was approached by a knife-wielding man who demanded his belongings.

Police said the suspect stole the victim’s cellphone, wallet, identification cards and $195 in delivery tips. The suspect then ran toward Meadow Avenue. Police said they searched the area but could not locate the suspect, described as a thin black man in a hoodie who was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall.

The robbery happened just four days after a pedestrian on Meadow Avenue in the same neighborhood was robbed at gunpoint just after 7 a.m.
