Dunham’s Sporting Goods store at Uniontown Mall has closed.

The closure is the latest at the mall, following the closure of several anchor stores and smaller establishments in recent years.

The mall’s Bon-Ton store closed last summer, while its Sears closed in 2017. Burlington Coat Factory is slated to close later this month. The mall’s JCPenney, the closest anchor store in proximity to Burlington, is to remain in business.

Uniontown Mall’s Dunham’s Sporting Goods store isn’t the only Dunham’s that has closed.

A Dunham’s in Springfield, Ohio,also closed Saturday, according to the Springfield News-Sun, and a Dunham’s in Duluth, Minn., will shutter by the end of the month, per the Duluth News Tribune.

Dunham’s moved to Uniontown Mall from the Fayette Plaza Shopping Center in 2003.

Uniontown Mall General Manager Pam Moore said that lease renewals are handled by Namdar Realty Group, the Great Neck, N.Y.-based commercial real estate investment firm that bought Uniontown Mall from Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust for $23 million in 2015.

“National leasing efforts continue through their office and local leasing efforts continue through my office,” Moore said.

Moore added that the mall has been site of openings as well as closings recently, reporting the addition of Crown Antique Mall and the Sephora beauty store, which JCPenney added last year continues to be a “traffic draw” to the mall.

“We continue to work harder than ever to fill our vacancies,” Moore said. “Additionally, the Uniontown Mall has supported our local community, both monetarily and in-kind, over the years and will continue that support in the future.”
