CANONSBURG
Conspiracy charge: Alex Perkins, 17, of 535 Blaine Ave., Canonsburg, was charged by Canonsburg police with conspiracy to commit robbery following an investigation into the Dec. 1 robbery of the 7-Hills Convenience Store. Police said Zion Filby, 18, of Canonsburg, who already was charged with committing the armed robbery, said during his preliminary hearing Dec. 11 that Perkins gave him the knife and took the stolen money. Police said Filby and Perkins had talked about robbing the store for months, before Perkins gave Filby a kitchen knife and waited for him in the 500 block of Craighead Street. Police said that after the robbery, multiple witnesses saw Filby give the stolen $350 to Perkins. Filby told police that he tried to communicate with Perkins after that night, but Perkins did not respond.
Criminal mischief: Canonsburg police responded to the 400 block of Ridge Avenue Wednesday evening after a family reported they were sitting in their living room when someone threw a rock through the window just before 8 p.m. Police said no one was injured, but the window was shattered.
Criminal mischief: A business on South Central Avenue reported to police Wednesday afternoon that two of their large front windows were broken when something was thrown at them. Police said the windows would cost about $8,400 to replace.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Man wanted: State police are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of David T. Galiffa, 31, who has addresses in Donora and Indiana, to contact them. He is wanted on terroristic threats and harassment charges stemming from a Jan. 5 incident at 362 Hancock St., where he allegedly threatened a woman. Police said he also told others that he might harm the woman. He returned to the home Jan. 26, threatened another woman and vandalized her car, police said. He also will be charged in connection with that incident.
NORTH STRABANE
Assault charge: Ernest Aundrea Jones, 42, of Mississippi, was charged by North Strabane Township police with simple assault and harassment following a domestic disturbance early Thursday morning at the Holiday Inn Express on Highland Meadow Drive. Police said Jones got into an argument with a woman he was sharing a room with about 3:30 a.m., before he allegedly started pinching her. Police said the woman tried to push him away, but he allegedly punched her in the eye and jaw. Police said the woman’s eye was bleeding and she also had injuries on her jaw, arms and stomach.
Wrong-way driving: State police responded Thursday morning to a report of a wrong-way driver near mile marker 45 on Interstate 79 southbound in North Strabane. Police said an 80-year-old man from Washington was driving north in the southbound lane just after 9 a.m., but no injuries or crashes occurred. Police said they stopped the driver near the Canonsburg exit. The man appeared to be confused and was taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said.
ROSTRAVER
Thefts alleged: Lisa A. Danca, 50, of 2001 Foxwood Drive, Forward Township, is charged by Rostraver police with six counts each of theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Danca is accused of stealing $769 from Cogo’s, 5100 Route 51, through fraudulent returns while working at the store from July 19 to July 24 last year. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
Woman charged: Virginia Marian Richie, 28, of 874 Route 906, Webster, is charged by township police with drug possession, possessing a small amount of marijuana and retail theft, court records show. Police said she had marijuana and a dose of Lorazepam when an officer arrested her on accusations she stole $20 worth of merchandise from Shop ‘n Save, 600 Plaza Drive, about 2:20 p.m. Jan. 9. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.
Woman charged: Elizabeth A. Scherff, 35, of 502 Scott St., Penn, is charged by state police with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, giving false identification to police and driving with a suspended or revoked license stemming from a traffic stop along Interstate 70 near Route 51 about 8:20 a.m. Nov. 25, court records show. Police accused her of having crack pipes, three Suboxone doses and a digital scale at the time. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
Endangerment alleged: Alexis Santae Forte, 27, of 157 High Road, Allenport, is charged by Rostraver police with endangering the welfare of children and leaving unattended children in a motor vehicle, court records show. Police accuse Forte of leaving two children, ages 2 and 4, in her vehicle for about a half hour while she had a manicure at a business on Finley Road about 2 p.m. Dec. 9. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Wednesday in a summons.
