Former employee charged for attempted Waffle House robbery
A warrant is out for the arrest of a former Waffle House employee who allegedly attempted to rob the restaurant Sunday night.
Stephanie Anne Becker, 31, of 101 Washington Ave., Oakmont, was charged by South Strabane police Monday with robbery, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, Becker entered the Waffle House at 255 Murtland Ave. about 9:50 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Becker had a bandanna over her face and demanded the employees open the cash drawer.
She threatened to pull out a gun and had her hand in her shirt, implying she had one, according to the complaint.
The employees refused to open the drawer, and a customer yelled for the would-be robber to leave. She then fled through the parking lot on foot.
