CLARKSVILLE
Crash: John William Pochron II, 32, of 980 N. Eighty Eight Road, Rices Landing, was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and three summary traffic violations following a June 13 crash. Police said they were about to serve a probation detainer on Pochron at Ozy’s Bar & Grill, 415 Pitt Gas Road, when they heard that he had been involved in a four-vehicle crash about 11:30 p.m. at 411 Center St. Police did not say if other drivers were involved or if any of them sustained injuries. Police said Pochron was taken to WHS-Greene hospital, where his blood-alcohol content was 0.115 percent.
CUMBERLAND
Identity theft alleged: Joshua Lee Bowser, 29, of 252 Duff St., Bobtown, was charged by township police with two counts each of identity theft and false identification to law enforcement, once count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and two summary traffic violations following a traffic stop at Sheetz on Route 88 Tuesday morning. Police said about 7:45 a.m. Bowser gave them a license for Joshua Seeholzer and told them multiple times that was his name. Police said they found methamphetamine and marijuana in the car, along with hypodermic needles, a smoking device and a scale.
FRANKLIN
Retail theft charge: Caleb Winfred Pataski, 23, of 108 Elm St., Clarksville, was charged by state police with retail theft after he allegedly stole a chainsaw from 4 Seasons Lawn and Garden about 12:30 p.m. June 28. Police said Pataski has a prior retail theft conviction.
Drug charges: Surrilda Darlene Good, 43, of 328 Third St., Mather, was charged by state police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and two counts of retail theft following an incident at Walmart June 23. Police said that shortly after 1 p.m., they responded to Walmart for the report of a theft. Police said Good had concealed items and failed to ring up some items while using the self-checkout lanes, attempting to steal about $195 in merchandise. Police said Good appeared to be intoxicated, as she had fallen into customers and shelves while in the store. Police said she had several frozen desserts in her purse, which she told police she had purchased the day before. She couldn’t explain how they were still cold, the criminal complaint said. Police said they found her in possession of morphine, Adderall, Oxycodone and Vicodin.
PERRY
Drug charges: David Paul Garber, 35, of 119 Big Shannon Run Road, is facing several felony charges after allegedly running from police last week when they showed up at his house with an arrest warrant. Police from several different agencies arrived at Garber’s mobile home just before 6 a.m. June 28, but when Garber saw them he allegedly jumped in his car and fled to the woods, where he got the vehicle stuck in mud. Police said he then ran into the woods on foot. Police said they searched Garber’s car and residence and found prescription pills, methamphetamine, marijuana, subutex, hypodermic syringes, a smoking device, a tourniquet and a 12-inch knife. Police said they also found a motorcycle that had been reported stolen in Fayette County. Police also said there was a 4-year-old girl living in the home, which they said was in “extremely deplorable conditions.” They said there was no running water or electricity, with feces in the bathroom area and insects throughout the residence. Garber was charged with flight to avoid apprehension, receiving stolen property, endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia.
WAYNESBURG
Criminal trespass: Benjamin A. Kiger, 44, who is homeless, was charged by borough police with two counts of criminal trespass after police said they found him Tuesday passed out in an abandoned trailer in which he’s been court-ordered to vacate. Police said they were called to 400 E. Franklin St. shortly after 9 p.m., just one day after District Judge Glenn Bates ordered Kiger not to return to the trailer.
