Washington man jailed after pointing gun at another man
A Washington man was arrested Tuesday after being accused of pointing a gun at another man during a fight.
Shane Ivory, 23, of 1300 Donnan Ave., was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and reckless endangerment by city police.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to Ivory’s residence about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday. Ivory had been involved in an argument with Richard Bryant, of Washington, which escalated into a physical fight.
During the fight, Ivory pulled out a loaded .380-caliber handgun and pointed it at Bryant, according to the complaint. The police report stated that both men were in the parking lot of Ivory’s building, and Ivory was ducking between vehicles.
When police apprehended Ivory, he told them he had thrown his gun. A witness at the scene retrieved the gun and gave it to police.
Bryant’s wife filmed the altercation, and the video shows Ivory pointing the gun at Bryant’s head, saying, “I’ll blow your (expletive) up,” according to the police report.
Ivory is incarcerated in the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
