CUMBERLAND

Corruption of minors: Mitchell Thomas Phillips, 22, of 135 Pershing Blvd., Nemacolin, was charged by township police with corruption of minors and furnishing liquor to a minor following an incident that happened late Sunday. Police said a 15-year-old girl was at Phillips residence about 10:30 p.m. when she consumed an alcoholic beverage there. The girl’s father called police about it, according to the criminal complaint. Police said the girl told them other minors were also at the residence drinking alcohol that night.

FRANKLIN

Theft: Jaclyn Nicole Farabee, 25, of 10 Cooke Ave., Waynesburg, was charged by state police with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly stole a car from her mother’s repair shop. Farabee allegedly took the car sometime between Saturday and Tuesday from the side yard of the Waynesburg Muffler Shop, where she resides. Police said the keys were in the vehicle in case it needed to be moved around the yard. The car belongs to Roy Galloway and was parked at the shop for repairs, police said. Police found Farabee and the vehicle parked on Cumberland Street in Waynesburg Wednesday, when they arrested her. They found a marijuana grinder in the vehicle.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP

Hit-and-run crash: Abd Al-Latif Sas Alrasheed, a 20-year-old student in Morgantown, W.Va., was charged by state police with leaving the scene of a crash and six traffic summary violations following a July 7 crash at the off-ramp of Interstate 79 and state Route 221. According to the criminal complaint, Alrasheed, who has a Kuwait driver’s license, passport and student visa, was driving down the off-ramp about 4:45 p.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign, crashing into the side of a westbound vehicle on Route 221. Police said Alrasheed did not stop after the crash, but they found him later three miles away on Route 19, where his vehicle became disabled. Police did not say if either driver was injured in the crash.
