A former Donora resident pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to charges of violating federal narcotics law and federal firearm law.

Christian B. Drennan, 29, currently of St. Clairsville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to two counts before Senior United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti.

Drennan conspired to import fentanyl from China via the internet and possessed seven firearms while unlawfully using a controlled substance, according to U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m. Drennan faces a total sentence of 30 years in prison, a fine of $1,250,000, or both.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Pennsylvania State Police as part of the Joint Criminal Opioid Darknet Enforcement initiative conducted the investigation that led to Drennan’s prosecution.
