CANTON
Multiple charges: Matthew Deward Evans, 48, of 158 Dorothy Ave., Canton Township, was in Washington County jail on multiple charges Saturday following an alleged incident at 158 Dorothy Ave. around 6 p.m. Friday. State police reported that Evans attempted to strangle Sarah Evans, 49, of Washington, and assaulted her multiple times. Police said he also displayed a flathead screwdriver toward troopers and became combative. (Thomas Carter and Rocco Gagliardi, both of Eighty Four, also were listed as victims.) Evans faces charges of strangulation, simple assault, harassment, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
DEEMSTON
Guns reported stolen: Bryan Latkanich, 48, of 95 Hill Road, reported to state police that four guns and ammunition – valued at $2,395 – were stolen from his residence around 2 p.m. last Sunday. Police said there were no signs of forcible entry.
HANOVER
Drinking citations: Ten adults were cited for alleged underage drinking Friday at Key Bank Pavilion. State police identified the 10 as: Nikki Kinsey, age 18; Gianna DeVincent, Keely Hinkle and Emily Verbosky, all 19; and Lydia Bower, Kilee Carter, Siera Deiley, Hanna Dragonir, Johnna Hglfer and Gabrielle Strickler, all 20.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Criminal mischief: A township woman, 63, told state police that someone broke two free-standing windows with a rock in the front porch area of a home on Zelt Street between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Friday. The windows are valued at $100.
SOUTH FRANKLIN
ID theft alleged: State police reported that someone used the name of Michelle Serna, 31, of Washington, to receive medical treatment in the state of California on Nov. 16, 2017. Police are investigating.
