JEFFERSON

Assault alleged: A 70-year-old Mather woman was arrested for assaulting her daughter and son-in-law Tuesday night at American Legion Post 954, at 156 Jefferson St., according to state police. Police said the woman grabbed her daughter by the hair and pulled her to the ground. When her son-in-law yelled for the bartender to remove her, the woman struck him in the head with a pool cue, police said.
