CUMBERLAND

Simple assault charge: Joseph Andrew Phillips Jr., 25, of 174 March Ave., Nemacolin, was charged with simple assault and harassment after Cumberland Township police said he struck a woman in the face multiple times at his home shortly after 7 a.m. Monday. He is being held in the Greene County jail on $5,000 bond.

Domestic dispute: Cumberland Township police charged Mark A. Grooms, 47, of 576 Ceylon Road, Carmichaels, with simple assault and harassment after officers said he pushed a woman down a stairwell about 2:30 a.m. Friday following an alcohol-fueled argument. Grooms is free on $7,500 percentage bond.

RICHHILL

Vehicle rammed: State police charged Xavier Ryan Campbell, 22, of 1167 W. Roy Furman Highway, Graysville, with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, false statements to police and harassment after troopers said he rammed another vehicle on McClellan Road near Aleppo Road in Richhill Township following an incident Sunday. Police said after he pushed the other vehicle off the road, he approached it with a handgun and opened the door, but immediately left when he saw a child in the car. Campbell is free on $20,000 cash bond.

Single-vehicle crash: Darron L. Jett, 30, of Pittsburgh, was uninjured when state police said he crashed his pickup truck in Richhill Township shortly after 10 p.m. March 12. Jett’s truck struck a tree along Nebo Ridge Road near Durbin Road and rolled onto its roof, police said.

House vandalized: An unknown person damaged the side door of a house on Fry Hill in Richhill Township and took a garbage can and copper piping between Feb. 4 and March 14, state police said.

WAYNE

Street racing: Two drivers are facing numerous charges after Greene Regional police said they were caught racing each other at more than 100 mph on Route 218 in Wayne Township last month. Greene Regional police Chief Zachary Sams said he chased the two vehicles after seeing them speeding early Feb. 19 and weaving into the opposite lanes of traffic as they drove south toward Blacksville. Both vehicles stopped just across the state line in West Virginia, and Sams took the drivers into custody. Cristy Gayle McHenry, 38, of 285 Thomas Run Road, Blacksville, W.Va., and Trevon Lorenzo Stewart, 22, of 1301 Hopewell Ridge Road, Sycamore, were both charged Friday by summons with fleeing police, reckless driving, racing and various traffic citations. Both denied they were racing each other, Sams wrote in court documents.

WAYNESBURG

Terroristic threats: Betty Lou Williams, 48, of 201 W. Elm St., Waynesburg, was charged with terroristic threats after Waynesburg police said she threatened Children and Youth Services staff following a hearing Thursday morning inside the Greene County Courthouse.
