CANONSBURG

Theft charges: Scott Basel, 40, and Justin Hamby, 31, both of Slippery Rock, were charged with theft following an incident Dec. 23 in Canonsburg. Canonsburg police said Basel and Hamby went to a residence in the 300 block of Giffin Avenue and took items from the house, including firearms, tools and other property with a total value of $8,850 while the homeowner was in a Florida hospital. She said she did not give the men permission to enter the house or take items. Basel reportedly told police the items belonged to his late father. Basel was charged with burglary, theft and criminal trespass, while Hamby was charged with two counts of theft.

Drug charges: Two Canonsburg men are facing drug charges after borough police and North Strabane Township police executed a warrant on a West Pike Street residence Feb. 20. Joshua Paul Leisman, 28, of 1003 Highland Drive, and Derrick James Andrews, 35, of 304 Grace Ave., were charged by Canonsburg police with possession of drug paraphernalia. Andrews was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance. While searching the residence, police said they found Andrews to be in possession of 26 stamp bags of heroin, a crack pipe, hypodermic needles and other paraphernalia. Leisman, police said, was found to be in possession of five empty stamp bags, two crack pipes and other paraphernalia.

DONEGAL

Terroristic threats charge: Nathan Fuller Sr., 36, of 223 Jane St., Richeyville, is facing terroristic threats charges in two separate cases filed by township police. On Feb. 27, Fuller allegedly used his brother’s phone to send threatening text messages to his ex-girlfriend, with whom he’s not supposed to have contact, according to court documents. Police said that in the early morning texts, Fuller threatened to kill the woman and put her head on a stick. Police said he sent additional threatening texts March 1. In the Feb. 27 case, Fuller was additionally charged with three counts of harassment. In the March 1 case, he was additionally charged with two counts of harassment.

NORTH BELLE VERNON

Harassment alleged: Pamela Sue Gamble, 44, of 614 Broad Ave., North Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with 24 counts of harassment over allegations she placed as many annoying calls to her exboyfriend, Steven Cornelius, at his place of employment between February 15 and March 12, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner issued most of the charges Wednesday in summons.
