NORTH FRANKLIN
Man charged: Raymond Wayne Gilpin Sr., 53, of 25 Ramsey Road, North Franklin Township, is charged by state police with fleeing or attempting to elude and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, court records show. Police accuse him of failing to pull over from an attempted traffic stop about 1 a.m. March 29, 2018, at West Chestnut Street and Franklin Farms Road. He was taken into custody when his vehicle became stuck in a yard at 1657 Grim Drive. Police filed the charges Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
PETERS
Couple charged: Renee Christine Porter, 20, and Richard Thomas Bakey, 25, both of 118 Meadowbrook Circle, Venetia, are charged by Peters police with forgery, theft and conspiracy, court records show. Police accuse them of using counterfeit $20 bills to purchase items about 3:45 p.m. Thursday at Heisler’s Market, 601 E. McMurray Road. District Judge Jesse Pettit signed warrants Friday for their arrests.
WASHINGTON
Drug case: Shane William Newman, 27, of 872 Chartiers St., Canton Township, is charged by state police with possessing a small amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 12:45 a.m. March 14 in the 200 block of South College Street, court records show. District Judge Robert Redlinger issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
