DUNKARD

Burglary: State police received a report of a burglary that occurred at a house on Holbert Stretch Road between 4 p.m. on Feb. 20 and 5 p.m. on Fe. 21. At least one person ransacked multiple rooms and took two two flat-screen TVs and various tools and jewelry. The total value of the items is reportedly $1,500.

JEFFERSON

Stolen excavator: State police reported that at least one person took a 2017 Caterpillar 320 excavator belonging to a Kentucky company on a joyride about 11 p.m. March 17. Someone managed to drive it out of the construction site at the juncture of Icebox Road where it had been parked. The culprit drove the machine about a quarter mile north on Icebox Road – causing damage to the section it covered – before steering it off the road and over a wire fence and parking it in the woods. The damaged roadway was valued at $6,000. About 60 feet of fence was also damaged. Its value was pegged at $200.
