Washington man charged with mail theft
A federal grand jury indicted a postal worker from Washington for allegedly stealing a gift card.
Federal prosecutors said Robert Thurman, 32, allegedly stole the piece of mail, which was destined for an address in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Aug. 2. He is charged with a single count of theft of mail by a postal employee.
The office of the U.S. Postal Service inspector general handled the investigation. The grand jury returned the indictment against Thurman on Tuesday. The Department of Justice announced it on Thursday.
