Donora officers assaulted during domestic call
DONORA – A Donora woman is accused of assaulting three borough police officers Sunday after she was detained under suspicion of public drunkenness and domestic violence.
Donora police also charged Katheryn Lorale Taylor, 25, with simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct following the 10:20 p.m. disturbance at Highland Terrace, court records show.
Police said they found Taylor being restrained by a relative, screaming and unable to stand. She then began to shout racially charged profanities at police, charging documents indicate.
Taylor also is accused of damaging a police cruiser by head-butting the vehicle.
She later began to fight with officers at the police station, kicking three of them in the legs after throwing herself to the floor, police said.
Taylor then allegedly crawled into a storage closet, where she attempted to grab a metal flagpole.
At that point, an officer deployed a Taser to her stomach to get her into a holding cell.
She was placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
