Brownsville man kidnapped, taken to Washington County, police said
A Brownsville man was reportedly kidnapped, assaulted and taken to a patch town in Washington County, police said.
Brownsville police issued an arrest warrant Thursday for Alvin Eugene Goney, 61, of Sixth Avenue in Brownsville for allegedly abducting Allen Kisko with two other men.
The other men had not been identified as of Thursday afternoon.
Kisko’s mother called 911 about 11:30 a.m. April 1 saying her son had not been seen since about 11:30 the night before. She called again about one hour later, saying her son was home and had been assaulted. He suffered a broken bone in his face and swelling around his eyes, according to court documents.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in the case, a man known to Kisko as Jerrad Thomas went into his house briefly and asked if he wanted to go outside. Thomas and two other men allegedly dragged Kisko to a car, put his hood over his face and beat him, then forced him into the car.
He was allegedly tied up in a house in Vesta 7 and beaten again.
“Allen was told he was not going to be let go,” Chief Stanley Jablonsky wrote in the affidavit.
He escaped by loosening the rope around his hands after the alleged kidnappers went to sleep, according to court documents.
Goney was identified in a photo lineup, police said.
Kisko was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Goney is charged with kidnap, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and conspiracy to commit each crime. Charges were filed before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr.
