A Merrittstown man was arrested after he allegedly fled Luzerne Township Police on an ATV while carrying 10 bricks of heroin in a backpack.

Henry Clay Jackson, 30, of Main Street was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and fleeing or attempting to elude officer.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Officer Zachary A. Kodric spotted Jackson riding an ATV toward Brownsville about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Hopewell Road. Police said he was wearing a white hockey mask and sped up when he saw the police car. Kodric followed him and turned on his emergency lights on Sheplar Lane. At Hillman Park, Jackson hit a fence post, rolled onto the ground and ran, shouting “Don’t shoot me!” Police said he reached toward his backpack and the officer deployed a Taser at him until he was subdued. Police said they found 10 bricks of heroin stamped “John Wick” in his backpack.

Jackson was arraigned before District Judge Nathan A. Henning, who set bail at $20,000. Jackson remains in Fayette County Prison, unable to post bail.
