North Franklin Township releases money to local VFD

North Franklin Township supervisors Tuesday released the full $40,000 contribution to the local fire department because of fundraising challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bob Sabot, chairman of township supervisors, said the money to the department typically is divided over quarters. The entire year’s contribution of $40,000 has been released, he said.

“We are monitoring their situation,” Sabot said.
