Body pulled from Canonsburg Lake

Local fire departments pulled the body of a 72-year-old North Strabane Township man out of Canonsburg Lake Wednesday morning.

The body was discovered on the Peters Township side of the lake. The Washington County coroner and Peters Township police ruled the death a suicide.

Peters Township police Chief Doug Grimes said the man drove his car to the lake parking lot off Dam Road. The Peters fire department were at the scene shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

North Strabane Fire Department also responded.
