Q. How would you tame the COVID-19 pandemic while rebuilding the economy?

A. Now that we have a much stronger understanding of who is most vulnerable, we must reopen all aspects of the economy and our educational institutions with common sense precautions. The people in my district and across Pennsylvania are responsible and informed. We understand that concern for each another not only deals with protecting the vulnerable from the virus, but also the well-being and livelihoods of all citizens. The economy and public health are not mutually exclusive. In bi-partisan fashion, the legislature has been trying to work with the governor, but we continue to be denied our elected decision-making role.

Q.How would you tame COVID-19 while rebuilding the economy?

A. One can still work during this virus outbreak. Just follow Centers for Disease Control regulations. Wear your mask while around other people. Stop being a naysayer. Do this not just to protect yourself, but also to protect others. Wash your hands and whenever possible, use hand sanitizer. Additionally, I would work on infrastructure, so that small businesses and homeowners could easily get WiFi. By providing stable and consistent WiFi to these users, small businesses can use e-commerce so that stores can still sell online. They can allow limited foot traffic. Those who are able can continue to work from home.
