Smith Township woman flown to Pittsburgh with head injury
An elderly Smith Township woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital Monday afternoon with a severe head laceration, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor.
According to the supervisor, the woman, in her 80s, was found on the ground outside of 23 Erie Mine Road just before 2:30 p.m. There were no witnesses to the incident, the supervisor said.
Ambulance & Chair responded along with fire departments from Smith Township, Mt. Pleasant and Burgettstown.
