WASHINGTON

Assault alleged: Mark Samuel Paletta, 51, of 138 McGiffin Ave., Washington, is charged by Washington police with strangulation, simple assault and terroristic threats. According to police, officers were sent to Paletta’s residence at about 9:20 p.m. Nov. 11. Police said Paletta strangled a woman and threatened to kill her. Paletta was released from Washington County jail after posting $25,000 bond.
