Masks required in city-owned buildings starting Tuesday

Starting Tuesday, masks will be required in all buildings owned by the city of Washington.

City Council voted 3-2 in favor of the mask requirement at its meeting Thursday. Council members Joe Manning and Matt Staniszewski voted against requiring masks.

The requirement extends only to buildings owned by Washington, including City Hall, and police and fire departments.
