Wheeling Symphony embarks on a “Celebrate America” July 4 tour
The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) is embarking on a “Celebrate America” tour to mark the July 4 holiday.
The tour of four West Virginina venues will start Friday, July 1 with an 8 p.m. performance at the Weirton Events Center. Then, on Saturday, July 2, the WSO will be at Veterans Memorial Amphitheater at 8 p.m. The performance there will be followed by fireworks.
On Sunday, July 3, the WSO will perform at the Canaan Valley Resort in Canaan Valley, W.Va., at 3 p.m. Finally, on Monday, July 4 at 8 p.m., the WSO will be at Heritage Port in Wheeling, W.Va.
The concert will include patriotic selections like “1812 Overture” and “Stars and Stripes Forever,” along with pop and rock hits like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “September” and “Rolling in the Deep.”
All concerts are free and open to the public, but donations are appreciated.
