Winter weather didn’t deter people from getting out and about Wednesday morning in downtown Washington.

Luey Downn heads home from an appointment in downtown Washington Wednesday morning. Downn opted to walk instead of drive because, he said, "It's beautiful out here in the snow."

Washington was a snow globe Wednesday, and large flakes swirled outside the county courthouse. Snow was expected to taper off by late Wednesday afternoon.
