The Challenge Program names executive director
Dr. Mark J. Kudlawiec has been named executive director of The Challenge Program Inc., an educational non-profit based in Johnston utilized by many area school districts.
The Challenge Program is active at Washington, California Area, Canon-McMillan, Charleroi Area and Ringgold high schools, as well as Western Area Career and Technical Center in Washington County. It is also active at Carmichaels, Jefferson-Morgan, Mapletown, Waynesburg Central, and West Greene High Schools, as well as the Greene County Career and Technical Center in Greene County.
The program’s mission is to motivate high school students to develop the habits required to succeed in school and their careers by building business and education partnerships.
Kudlawiec has a career in education spanning more than three decades. He served the past 12 years as superintendent of the Chestnut Ridge School District in Bedford County.
