Monongahela man charged in 2021 Fayette shooting

A Monongahela man faces multiple felonies connected to a 2021 shooting outside of a Fayette County bar.
Christopher P. O’Brien Jr., 28, is charged by state police with aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license.
According to the criminal complaint, O’Brien was involved in a fight at the Cloverleaf Bar and Lounge in the 500 block of Perry Road in Perry Township the morning of March 14, 2021.
The fighting spilled into the parking lot. A man who was not involved in the altercation told police that O’Brien fired a shot in his direction while he was sitting in his car.
Other witnesses reported hearing two gunshots after O’Brien was kicked out of the bar.
No one was injured.
O’Brien also faces misdemeanors of possession of an instrument of crime, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and simple assault.
There is an active warrant for O’Brien’s arrest.
